    Yum lock problem

If you get an error like this in Fedora while trying to upgrade using yum:

    “Existing lock /var/run/…”

All you have to do is to remove the file located under /var/run/. You will need root previllege to do that.

    Configure to install quickstep

These two packages are third-party in quickstep: libtecla and tc-malloc.

So I need to install ncurses-dev, bison and flex.

Note that these packages have different names in Wheezy:

These and other fonts are in a section called ‘Fonts’ in Wheezy.

How to set default browser in Debian

You need to point the symlink /etc/alternatives/x-www-browser to /usr/bin/[your browser] or other path where your browser is installed. One easy way to do this is to execute the following command as root:

    update-alternatives --config x-www-browser

    How about the correctness.

One thing that I learned today, though in a hard and embarrassing way, is that the first thing I ever need to do to my work before handing it to somebody else as a finished craft, is to ensure the correctness. Without it there will be absolutely no point of going forward. Gotta be responsibile of my own work. And another thing is never el stupid of asking stupid questions. We all have been that point and enjoying sticking in it is an art. Soon you will advance to the next level. Just gotta focus on what I do, and do it perfect. Period.
